WRITING CELEBRATION JUNE 1ST
Please join us on June 1st from 5:30 – 6:30 for a Writing Celebration. Students will share their writing and art work. Refreshments will be provided and there will be a drawing for door prizes. Come celebrate the creative work of our students!

PTA NOTES
The last PTA meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 1st at 6:30 pm, after our Writing Celebration. As always, childcare is available for parents attending.
PAWS FOR READING AND
STUDENT OF THE MONTH
Those students who met their May Paws for Reading goal will receive scented bookmarks and pencils as a reward.
Students recognized for Student of the Month will get a walking trip to the Commons for a picnic. More information will follow.

FIELD DAY JUNE 2ND
Field day for grades 1-5 is Wednesday, June 2nd. Students will walk to Spaulding High School, leaving at 8:30 and returning at 1:00. Please send a lunch, as we will eat lunch on the field. Check the weather and have your child dress appropriately. Please put sunscreen on at home (do not send sunscreen in with your child). Parents are welcome to join us at the high school to cheer the students on.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL
The last day of school is scheduled for Tuesday, June 22rd.

STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK
The staff at William Allen School would like to say a great big thank you to everyone for all their thoughtfulness to our staff!

HONORS LUNCH
The Honors Lunch will be held on Friday, June 18th at 12:00 p.m. for grade 3-5 students who attained honors for all four quarters this year. Invitations will be going out soon.

CITY WIDE TRACK MEET
Rochester Schools will have their City Wide Track Meet on Monday, June 14th at 5:00 p.m. The track meet will take place at the Spaulding High School track. Those students who placed first for their school in an event at Field Day will be attending. Come and root for your school!

LIBRARY NEWS
Please make sure that all library materials are returned or paid for as soon as possible. Students with missing materials will serve recess time beginning June 8th until the matter is taken care of. Students may not get their report cards at the end of the year if there are missing materials. Any questions, please call Mrs. Price 332-2280.

SUMMER READING PROGRAM
The Rochester Public Library is offering a free reading program. This year’s theme is “Make a Splash…Read”. It’s a seven week program, beginning on June 21st and running until August 7th. They offer performers, crafts and more. Contact the Library at 335-7549 for more information.
