The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. with
a quorum present.
Facilities Project Update
Mr. Kalisz updated the Committee on the
nearly complete Honeywell energy improvements. The balancing of the air and heat exchanges
is continuing. Several motors have
failed at the High School in individual heating units, the motors have been
replaced and the unit ventilators are all working at this time.
Playground Update
Mr. Hopkins presented an update on
playground projects and the funding source over the past few years. Mr. Kalisz mentioned that he has included
some funding in the CIP for playground projects. The Committee will consider in the next few
months if the District funds playground improvements or matches funding for
playground projects developed by the PTA.
Holy Rosary Credit Union Sign
Mr. Hopkins shared the proposed Holy Rosary
Credit Union sign for Wakefield
Street and Chestnut
Hill Road. The Committee would prefer the School
District being on top on Wakefield
Street and reducing the size of
the credit union sign at each location.
A change in the proposal will be presented to the next Building
Committee.
Mr. Watson moved, second by Dr. Pastelis, to
adjourn the meeting at 6:30
p.m. The motion passed unanimously.
