| 1. By June of 2001, each school will have continued the interventions required to align curriculum with the New Hampshire Frameworks, adjusted instructional strategies based on the Frameworks, District Curriculum and NHEIAP results. The current New Hampshire Frameworks include the following curriculum areas of Social Studies, Science, Language Arts, Mathematics and Career Development. |
| 2. Each school will include in all instructional areas, open-response questions as a component of student assessments. Both regular and special education teachers will show evidence of instructing students in how to answer open-response questions. Staff members should refer to the NHEIAP Common Released Items for sample open- response questions and answers. |
| 3. All lesson plans will reference or reflect the existing New Hampshire Curriculum Frameworks in the teacher's instructional area or a related instructional area. |
| 4. Each teacher in grades K-12 will show evidence that both regular and special education students complete the required grade level pieces of writing as outlined in the Individual Student Writing Folder. Scoring rubrics and revised pieces will be attached to the writing prompts. |
| 5. Each teacher in grades 1-8 will have implemented the Gates-MaGinite Reading Test or another district chosen measure, as a pre-post measure of reading progress. Both regular and special education teachers will show evidence of using the data to adjust instructional practices to meet the needs of all students. |
| 6. Each teacher in grades K-6 will use the adopted reading series, Invitations to Literacy by Houghton Mifflin. Each teacher in grades K-6 will administer the Integrated Theme Tests. Teachers will show evidence of using the data to adjust instructional practices to meet the needs of students. Other materials may be used to supplement, but not supplant the adopted series. |
| 7. Each teacher in grades K-5 will use the adopted social studies series by Harcourt Brace. Other materials may be used to supplement, but not supplant the adopted series. |
| 8. Each teacher in grades K-6 will use the adopted science series by Scott Foresman. Science teachers in grades 7 and 8 will use the adopted science series by Glencoe. Other materials may be used to supplement, but not supplant the adopted series. |
