STUDENT FEES, FINES, AND CHARGES

Students are responsible to see that textbooks and other school-owned equipment and materials receive proper care. The student to whom a book or other item is issued must reimburse the School District if the item is lost or damaged. Payment shall be made to the Rochester School Department or the appropriate division thereof.

Students may be assessed fees for use of instructional materials when the product is to be kept by the student, such as in industrial arts, under procedures established by the Principal and approved by the Superintendent.

Report cards will be withheld until all obligations are met.

No one will be permitted to participate in graduation exercises if these obligations are not met, unless excused by the School Board. Further, a student who has not paid an obligation will not be permitted to participate in extra- and/or co-curricular programs or to receive other optional, non-academic programs until the obligation is fulfilled.
