Seniors: Would you like to make money during school? The library
has two paid library aide positions available for seniors who
are in good standing and have a free block in their schedule.
Information and applications are available in the library. Positions
will be filled immediately. (McKenney)
Ski Club: Ski club will be traveling to Gunstock this year. Anyone
interested should see Mrs. Baita in room 230. Space is limited
so make sure you sign up soon. As a reminder, ski club is not
ski team, please listen for ski team announcements in the next
couple of months. (Baita)
Project SEARCH: A list of all students who were selected to participate
in Project SEARCH is posted on the bulletin board outside the
Art department. There will be a mandatory meeting after school
on Tuesday, Sept. 9th. You will receive your field trip forms
and the fall schedule. We will meet in Mrs. Daly's room at 2:15.

Seniors: Senior portraits will be on Sept. 22. If you are interested
in having a free or setting fee for your portraits see Mrs. Ridley
D block or before school to set up an appointment.
Class of 2010 Class Council: Our first meeting of this year
will be Monday, Sept. 8th. We will meet in Mrs. Daly's room at

Sophomore Class: Sign-up sheets for freezer pop sales and the
car wash are posted outside Mrs. Baita’s room, #230.
Sophomores are encouraged to please help out and sign up. (Baita)
Sophomore Class: Any sophomore wishing to run for a class office
or for class council should see Mrs. Baita in room 230 or Mrs.
Caramihalis in room 101 for a signature sheet. Sheets and speeches
are due back by Thursday, September 11. (Baita)
Class of 2012: Freshman running for class offices need to be
aware that speeches and voting will not occur on Monday September
15th. Voting and speeches will occur on Friday the 12th at a
class meeting. Therefore, all due dates need to be adjusted back
one day. A copy of all speeches needs to be turned in to either
Mr. or Mrs. Ackerman by the end of the day, 2:30 on Wednesday
the 10th. All class council and officer candidates need to turn
in their forms that contain the 25 or 50 signatures by the end
of the day, 2:30 on Thursday the 11th.
ART CLUB: Attention all artists, Art Club will begin next Tuesday
the 16th at 7 AM in Ms. Andrews’ art room. All students
are welcome to attend. An interest in art is required.
Key Club: Key Club will be meeting in room 307 on Tuesday September
8th after school. Key Club will also be holding a car wash on
Saturday the 13th from 9-1. If you are unable to attend the meeting,
please see Mrs. Leach or Mrs. Westfall.
Outing Club: The outing club would like to remind members that
we have club t-shirts for sale at a price of $10. They are Spaulding
red with the club emblem and motto, “adventures are us”.
A few Spaulding red raider Nalgene water bottles are also for
sale at a price of $5 each. See Mr. Ackerman room 236 to purchase
either item.
Outing Club: If you are interested in traveling to Costa Rica
this winter break, stop in room 236 for more details. The trip
is open to students, parents and teachers. A parent information
night will occur later this month but at this time Mr. Ackerman
has packets of information to give you.
Show your Red Raider pride: Members of the class of 2012 will be providing
airbrush tattoos on Friday after school and at the football game
Friday night. Show your Red Raider pride and get a tattoo for
the game. Tattoos will be sold for $2 each, large ones will be
a little more. Freshman class student who would be willing to
help out this Friday, please stop by to talk with Mr. Ackerman.
Outing Club: Mr. Ackerman has paperwork in room 236 for anyone
interested in the Outing Club. To be a member this year you need
to fill out an information sheet and turn in your 5 dollar dues.
He also has a list of events for this year and permission slips
for 4 trips. On September 14 the club will hike the Welch-Dickey
Loop. September 27th the club will hike up Whiteface Mountain.
October 3rd & 4th a group will be camping at Barnes Field
campground near Mount Washington. Then on November 8th and 9th
the club will hike up to Lonesome Lake Hut to spend the night
in style.
