Marcey Buchakjian (Boo-CHAK'-jin) is thrilled to join the McClelland School this fall as an art teacher. When she's not working with young artists at Rochester schools, she can be found: on a beach flying dragon kites, waxing philosophical with her funny kids, Asa and Elias, herding quirky cats, baking Armenian sweet rolls, writing, and creating things that range from portraits, to felted sheep!
She is especially excited to make ties with new and old friends at MCS, and to integrate CKLA topics into art lessons. A fan of process-based, "art-as-inquiry" themes, Marcey is excited that our kindergarteners will now be creating art, too!
She is currently thinking about:
-what to do with all the four-leaf clovers her kids have pressed in wax paper
- what to possibly make for dinner.
Ice cream can be dinner, right?
Have a beautiful summer!
