Hear Ye, Hear Ye, the first meeting of the RMS Student Council will be Tuesday, October 7, from 2:30-3:00 pm in Ms. Cookson's Room 113 in A Wing. All students are invited to attend the meeting to find out what the student council does around RMS and to meet the current members who have been in student council. We look forward to seeing you. There is a meeting for the National Junior Honor Society this afternoon, October 6th, from 2:30pm to 3:00 pm. We will be discussing a service opportunity that will be available to our group in late October.

Soccer Game Results:
The RMS boys soccer team lost to Portsmouth 4–0. Dave L. played a strong game in net, with solid defensive support from Chayton S., Ronnie T., Lucas S., and Braden M..
On Friday, the boys defeated St. Mary’s 6–2. Goals were scored by Crosby P., Gavin L., and Elijah M., with Andrew T. recording multiple assists.
The girls soccer team played an unbelievable game against Portsmouth yesterday. Despite amazing defense by Alexa N., Raelynn W. Olivia G., and Esther L., Portsmouth won 2-0.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to play guitar? Do you already know how to play guitar and want to get better? If the answer is yes, then come and join the RMS Guitar. We will meet for the first time next Thursday (October 2nd) from 2:30-3:15 in room 233 (upstairs C-wing). No sign-up is required but you must provide your own guitar. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Black or Mr. Sampson.
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming next week to the library and we are so excited! There will be lots of great new books along with some old favorites and of course posters and the table of school supplies. We look forward to seeing you there!
The First Meeting of the RMS Chess Club will be held Thursday afternoon, September 25th, from 2:30 to 3:30. There is NO commitment and anyone who would like to learn or play the game is welcome! Location is in Room 116 Downstairs, A-Wing. Anyone from beginner to expert is welcome. If you would like to learn the game, this is a great opportunity. Checkers will be offered as well. As there are no late buses at this time, you will have to provide for your own
transportation home. Looking forward to seeing people get a chance to enjoy the game!
