We had a great day with 6th graders at RMS today! Tomorrow we will welcome the 7th grade, Thursday will be 8th grade, and everyone is in on Friday.

ALL GIRLS INTERESTED IN TRYING OUT FOR THE RMS VOLLEYBALL TEAMS, PLEASE COME TO THE MAIN OFFICE TO SIGN UP.
TRYOUTS WILL BEGIN THURSDAY, AUGUST 29, FROM 2:30 PM TO 4:30 PM
AND FINISH ON FRIDAY FROM 2:30 PM TO 4:30 PM IN THE GYM.

Next week we have students coming back into the building for the first week of school:
August 27-Grade 6 Only
August 28-Grade 7 Only
August 29-Grade 8 Only
August 30-All Grades are at RMS.
Here is a reminder of our arrival and dismissal procedures. Please do not hesitate to call the office at 603-332-4090 if you have any questions. We are excited to see everyone!
ROCHESTER MIDDLE SCHOOL ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL
Academic Hours: 7:30 AM - 2:15 PM
Arrival Procedure:
Students may not exit their cars before 7:10 AM.
Students may enter the building after 7:15 AM.
Students will enter either the gym hallway entrance or the main entrance.
Students can get breakfast in the cafeteria.
Students are expected to be in their team area no later than 7:30 am each morning. Students reporting to school after 7:30 will be marked tardy.
For the arrival procedure, students are not to arrive at school prior to 7:00 am. Cars will drop off in the area between the front field and the cemetery. Students riding in cars are asked to wait in the drop off line until 7:10 before exiting their cars. Students can enter the gym hallway or the main entrance. For new families, we will have a number of people outside to help you learn our arrival procedure.
Dismissal Procedure:
FIRST BELL: At 2:15 PM, 1st set of buses, riders, and walkers leave. 2nd bus and after school activity students will
report to the team waiting area.
SECOND BELL: At 2:25 PM, 2nd set of buses leave. Students with after school activities (Athletics, Clubs, After-School Academic Support, etc.) will leave.
All students will exit their wings and walk towards A Wing. Bus students will remain at the front of the school and line up in front of their bus pick up location. Walkers will cross at the A Wing crosswalk and walk down the property towards Brock Street. Car riders will walk around the building outside next to the gymnasium to the pick-up area behind the school. Cars will pick up at the rear of the school. Cars should not arrive for pick up before 2:00 pm. D Wing students will exit the building through C Wing. For new families, we will have a number of people outside to help you learn our pick-up procedure.

Recent Spaulding graduate Nicholas Letellier is working on his Eagle Scout project at RMS. Phase 1 was planting a tree near the main entrance, and he will be building benches around two existing trees by the end of this Summer!

Congratulations to our girls and boys track teams at RMS! The boys got first place and the girls got second place in the Coastal Track League! Great job to our teams and coaches Mrs. Hernandez-Parsell and Mr. Ruflin on an excellent season.
