The R.W. Creteau Regional Technology Center is delighted to announce the arrival of Alex Comeau, a dynamic and innovative artist from Rochester, NH, who will lead the Video & Photographic Arts class. Alex's passion for inspiring young artists, coupled with a rich background in fine art photography, makes them a valuable addition to the educational team.
Alex's artistic journey took root at Spaulding High School, where they graduated in 2019. During their sophomore year, they embarked on their photographic exploration by enrolling in Photography One and Junior Photography Two. In their senior year, Alex took the initiative to create a personalized Extended Learning Opportunity (ELO), essentially crafting a class where they assisted and collaborated with Photo 1 students, and organized art shows in the local area.
Reflecting on their high school years, Alex shared, "Since my sophomore year of high school, I've been thinking outside the box for the program and how I can not only improve my own work but improve the program." This innovative mindset and commitment to enhancing the educational experience are key aspects that Alex brings to the role of Video & Photographic Arts Instructor.
Alex's professional journey continued beyond high school, and they are eager to integrate the knowledge gained into their teaching. "I took the position as the Digital Photography/Video teacher because I want to inspire young artists like myself," Alex explained. "I'd love to bring in some of the knowledge that I've learned professionally and help students think about their photography and art in a professional and practical way."
The R.W. Creteau Regional Technology Center warmly welcomes Alex Comeau to the team and looks forward to the positive impact they will make on students aspiring to explore the world of Video & Photographic Arts.
