I am truly honored to officially announce myself as the new Principal of East Rochester School for the 2022-2023 school year. I would like to thank Christine Hebert for her dedication to the East Rochester School community over the past seven years. With her guidance, Christine has helped shape ERS into the amazing community it is!
It’s going to be a year full of fun, learning and lots of adventures. I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. I thought you might like to know a little about me.
My dad was in the military, so I grew up all around the world. When I was in sixth grade I moved to Rochester and attended Spaulding Jr. High and Spaulding High School. I graduated in 1992 and then attended St. Leo University in Central Florida where I trained to be a teacher. I graduated with my B.A. in Elementary Education in 1996, with my M.Ed. in Special Education in 2002, and my C.A.G.S. in Educational Leadership in 2020.
I have been a member of the East Rochester School community for the last six years as a fourth grade teacher. This past school year marked my 25th year of teaching, all as a proud member of the Rochester School District! In addition to fourth grade…I have taught preschool, kindergarten, first grade, and math at William Allen School for kindergarten through fifth grade students.
I am married to a wonderful husband named T.J. We have three grown sons, Nathan, Zachary, and Isaac. We, also, have 3 grandsons Kamden who is 4, Kai who is 1, and Carter who is 9 months old. We are busy with them, but in my spare time I enjoy walking, crafting, and reading!
I am incredibly excited about my new adventure as principal this year. I look forward to an amazing year together learning and growing with our amazing students, dedicated staff, supportive parents and community.
With Cougar Pride,
Andrea Lancey
